We’re delighted to welcome two fantastic new team members to the Sherwood Forest Trust – Graeme Turner, our new Conservation Manager, and Erin Exposito, who’s joined us as Community Conservation Officer.
Graeme’s no stranger to Sherwood – he spent seven years as a Ranger at Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve and has over 20 years of experience in countryside management under his belt. More recently, he’s been helping train the next generation of land managers in further education, but says he’s thrilled to be back out in the field.
“It was an opportunity to get involved with an organisation I’ve always admired – and to return to the Sherwood area, which is really close to my heart,” says Graeme
Erin joins us fresh from leading youth engagement work with Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust’s ‘Keeping It Wild’ team. With a degree in Environmental Conservation and experience in recycling education, she’s all about getting people hands-on and involved.
“I am excited to work with likeminded individuals to promote the importance of our local landscape and make nature and conservation accessible for all” says Erin.
She’ll be working with local community groups, supporting events like the Woodland Festival, and helping deliver our heathland restoration work – with big plans already underway.
We’re excited to have them both on board and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make across Sherwood.
