Employee Action Days

The Sherwood Forest Trust is a charity dedicated to protecting, restoring, and celebrating the landscape, wildlife, and heritage of the legendary Sherwood Forest.
We have been working with communities and local businesses in and around historic Sherwood Forest for over 30 years.
Over this time, we have facilitated team action days for organisations such as Linneys, DHL, KPMG, Rolls Royce, Mansfield Building Society and many, many more.
We provide a safe and enjoyable day facilitated by skilled conservation staff, plus;
- All tools, equipment, and safety training
- Insurance and risk assessments
- Tea, coffee, and light refreshments (Lunch optional extra)
- Parking and access to welfare facilities.
We can provide a range of seasonal team days, such as:

Energetic & Active
Heathland Protection & Restoration
In spring we’re protecting habitats, species monitoring, and early invasive species control. In summer we’re wildlife surveying and light touch habitat management. In autumn/winter its hands-on restoration and scrub clearance.

Mindful & Rejuvinating
Seed Collecting and Growing
On a full-day session we’ll begin by collecting seeds from Sherwood’s veteran trees, before taking them back to our community nursery for processing. At the nursery we’ll be sowing, weeding and watering, taking time to slow down and enjoy this mindful, hands-on activity.

Sponsorship & Funding
As a small Nottinghamshire charity, and the only organisation dedicated entirely to Sherwood Forest. To continue our work, we rely entirely on donations, grants, sponsorship and earned income.
