Sherwood Forest is a landscape known around the world. 

Its ancient trees, diverse wildlife, rich heritage and vibrant communities make it a place of national importance. For more than 30 years, Sherwood Forest Trust has worked to bring people, nature and heritage together, helping to protect and restore this special landscape while inspiring future generations to care for it.  

We’re now looking for new Trustees to join our Board. 

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of a trusted and independent charity working across the wider Sherwood landscape. You’ll help guide our strategy, support strong governance and act as an ambassador for our work. 

We are keen to hear from people who can bring fresh thinking, diverse perspectives and experience in areas such as: 

• Nature recovery and conservation 

• Heritage and cultural landscapes 

• Community engagement and volunteering 

• Education and learning 

• Partnerships and stakeholder engagement 

• Fundraising and business development 

• Finance, governance and organisational leadership 

You don’t need previous trustee experience. What matters most is a commitment to our mission and a desire to help Sherwood Forest thrive for generations to come.
