The Sherwood Forest Trust Woodland Festival is a free, family-friendly celebration of nature, creativity, and traditional woodland skills. Now in its 12th year, the festival takes place each summer at Thoresby Park, welcoming thousands of visitors from across Nottinghamshire and beyond.
Across two days, attendees can enjoy hands-on activities, live demonstrations, woodland crafts, talks, walks, and performances, most of which are completely free. Every activity is rooted in Nottinghamshire’s rich natural heritage, creating a festival that is uniquely local, welcoming, and inspiring.
Why We Need Your Support
We are proud to keep the festival free for all, but making it happen requires resources.
