Transport
The Sherwood Forest Trust is committed to sustainable transport, so here is some help in getting you into the Sherwood area, and helping cut down on emissions and congestion.
By Bus
Traveline (including Sherwood Forester Service)
National Express
Nottingham City Transport
By Tram
By Rail
Trainline
East Midlands Trains
By Air
East Midlands Airport
Robin Hood Airport
By Car
However, if your mode of transport can only be a car then the M1 and A1(M) run north to south (or the other way if you need it!!) and are on the western and eastern edges of Sherwood.
Using the M1 then use exits 26, 27, 28, 29, 29A, 30, 31 or 32 depending on where you are visiting, 26 is furthest south and 32 is the most northerly.
Whilst if you’re using the A1(M) then use exit 34 and on the A1 then use the Blyth, A57/Mansfield, Ollerton/B1164, A46-A617/Mansfield, A46/Southwell, A52/Nottingham. These are in north to south order.
See you soon!
