Support Sherwood

Sherwood Forest Trust Survey 2018 – Win Afternoon Tea for 2!

Who Are We?

We’re the Sherwood Forest Trust – a small local charity with big ambitions.  We focus on three things: conservation, heritage and community. We want to help preserve and promote all things Sherwood Forest; its nature, its history, its culture and all the people that make it special.

Robin Hood Country

By Sherwood Forest we don’t just mean the country park or the Sherwood National Nature Reserve near Edwinstowe.  We work across the whole of the former Royal Hunting Forest of Sherwood – the land once roamed by Robin Hood,  stretching from Nottingham to Worksop and from Mansfield in the West to Laxton village in the East.

What Do We Do?

We’re not a campaign or political group.  Nor are we a branch of any larger national charity.  We carry out practical projects in Nottinghamshire – in and around our fabulous Forest.  From tree planting with schools to hosting students to funding fun family events like the Major Oak Woodland Festival, we’re always looking for creative ways to conserve and celebrate Robin Hood’s legendary home.

Keep Us On Track!

We’re drawing up our charity’s plans for the next few years.  But we want to “keep it real” – concentrating on projects that local people really want and will support. Knowing what you want, and how we can help is how Robin Hood did things too!
